Poolside (Inspired by Robin Peraino)
by Bradley A. Peraino
The sun hangs high in the light blue sky. The water is cool and clear. All is serene in this beautiful scene. It’s my favorite time of the year.
The hours pass through tinted glass, as I stare in a trivial daze. My mind moves slow beneath the glow of the cosmic solar rays.
I am on the edge of the concrete ledge which contains the hot day’s relief. As I jump in, it cools my skin. The pleasure is beyond all belief.
And, as I wade no attention is paid to the rest of the whole living Earth. With lung and limb, I simply swim and enjoy it for what it is worth.
